Raised in Austin, Samantha followed her passion for design and attended Texas State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. During this time, she interned for Austin Designer, Britt Design Group. After receiving her degree, Samantha moved to Dallas and worked for "Top 100 Design Giant", Staffelbach Design & Associates before starting Samantha Kate Design in 2012. Most recently, Samantha served as  the Lead Interior Designer and creative director for ten years, where she directed the interiors department for award winning builder, New Leaf Custom Homes and The Design Shop Dallas.

Samantha's family made the move back home to Austin in 2021 after having their first child and are so proud to be  representing the Austin design community once again.
